He charged me $175, for a half hour long consult. During which he told me things i already knew, i simply wanted to talk to him, to see if he was the lawyer for my case.....

Neither him or his receptionist advised me of a consult charge. The only fees mentioned were his $5000 retainer fee. Which is based at $175/hr. If i decided to use him as my lawyer.
